Hi, I'm Ed with Volvo Rents and today I'm going to discuss some of the safety features on this EC20C Compact Excavator. One of the first things I'm going to talk to you about is this battery kill switch. It's a very nice design. At the end of the day, you can take this little key out and this unit will not start, even you had a key for this unit, so that it could potentially cut down on the unit being stolen, any type of vandal by third parties.

And it's easy just next morning when you come in, start it, there you go. Another nice feature of this excavator is that this unit will only start with this arm in the up position. All of our competitor models start the machine with it down like this and most everybody knows that. So if you're not familiar with the Volvo unit, it's a very nice safety feature to only start with the arm rest up like that.

And you have to be familiar with this machine to know that.

A couple of nice features as well safety-wise are the lights in the front, the back, and that your warning beacon up there on top of the machine. So people that are on a job site that are all around you will see you operating this machine. This machine has all the OSHA approved safety features, so any job that you go on, you'll have no issue with safety and having this machine approved to operate on that job site.
