According to a story that was published by Industrial Info Resources, in Sugar Land, Texas, developer Calpine Corporation is moving forward with Garrison Merchant Generator in Delaware.
The story, written by John Egan, states that, “Conditions in the Mid-Atlantic power market have become favorable enough for developer Calpine Corporation based in Houston, Texas, to move forward with the construction of a 309-megawatt (MW), natural gas, combined-cycle generator in Dover, Delaware.”
Industrial Info Resources reported that a spokesman for Calpine has said that the Garrison Energy Center is expected to be operating by June, 2015, with construction scheduled to begin next spring. The project has a total investment value (TIV) of about $400 million.
