An article I recently read from Industrial Info Resources reported that:  “The U.S. Congress agreed to extend the federal Production Tax Credit (PTC) for wind power owners for a year as part of its 11th-hour negotiations to avert falling off the so-called "fiscal cliff."

Industrial Info, based in Sugar Land, Texas, predicts that only 3,000 to 4,000 megawatts (MW) of new wind power could reach commercial startup by the end of 2013.
