There appears to be good news for our Northern neighbors when considering wind power projects.
According to an article that I recently read published by Industrial Info Resources out of Sugar Land, Texas, Canada is expected to have “6,400 megawatts of installed wind energy capacity by the end of 2012.” And, it is expected that Canadian wind power projects will set a record year in 2013.
The article states that this is the second consecutive year that more than 1,000 MW of new projects have been installed. This is good news for the construction industry since the article also stated that it is estimated that wind will be contributing more than 20 percent of the national clean energy total by the end of 2012.
