A 40-year-old Volvo Construction Equipment wheel loader, the H10, was recently restored by Van Werven, a Dutch equipment company to celebrate their 65th anniversary. The machine was the first piece of equipment bought by the company. Seven retired engineers took a total of 20 weeks to renovate the machine.
The story which ran in American Rental Association’s magazine, Rental Pulse quoted one of the retired engineers, Jan Sijtsma, as saying, ““Before the H10 was stripped, it still ran like a well-oiled machine, but it didn’t look like one. So, our task was to make it look beautiful and I took great pleasure in doing that together with six old-colleagues.”

Van Werven has stuck with Volvo machines through the years and currently has 45 Volvo wheel loaders, 19 Volvo crawler excavators, and Volvo wheeled excavators, and two Volvo articulated haulers.
